So, let’s get started installing Microsoft Edge on your iOS and macOS devices right away. Users who had just switched from Windows to Mac or who used both Windows and Mac in their daily lives and didn’t want to keep switching browsers were glad to hear that the Microsoft Edge beta was coming out. Right now, the only way to get to the Canary version of Microsoft Edge is through the Microsoft Edge Insider programme, which gives early access to new updates and betas before they hit the market. Lastly, in 2019, Microsoft did release a beta version of the Microsoft Edge browser for Mac called Canary, which is a project name for the beta. The first hint that Microsoft Edge could run on macOS came when it switched to a code engine that was powered by Chromium.

Edge installs, and the app appears on the Home screen.

Under the entry for Microsoft Edge, select Get, then select Install (or use Touch ID or FaceID) to approve the download.

Select the Search button in the lower-right corner, then enter Edge browser in the search bar at the top of the page.

You can now use and explore Microsoft Edge for macOS.

If you don’t want to sync data, select Continue without Signing-in. Select Sign In to Sync Data to sync your passwords, favorites, and other data from your Microsoft account.

Choose Inspirational, Information, or Focused, depending on your taste, then select Confirm.

Choose a design layout for the New Tab page.

Choose whether to import browser data from Chrome or to proceed without importing.

Microsoft Edge launches automatically.

Proceed through the on-screen instructions to install Microsoft Edge.

Open the Downloads folder in Finder and select the Microsoft Edge.

Review the terms of service and select Accept and download.

Make sure macOS is selected from the Download drop-down menu, then select Download.
